The latest gas crisis has the people rioting against the Regime!

** Report: Upset crowds set fire to some 50 gas stations in Tehran!

** Another Report: "The Situation is Out of Control!"

Some youths hurled stones and chanted, "Guns, fireworks, tanks, (President Mahmoud) Ahmadinejad should be killed", the witness said- Free Republic .
Winston is getting first hand reports on the situation:

I am getting some first hand reports from inside of Iran about the situation resulted from fuel ration policy which will go into effect as of tonight midnight (local time) through out the country.

Angry people have blocked the main highway in Tehran and several serious clashes have occurred in gas stations across the capital. The amount of anger among the people is such that police forces have refused to intervene in some parts of the city where roads are blocked and people have shattered the buildings' windows. And some reports indicate that 50 petrol stations were set ablaze in Tehran alone and at least 3 people died in the clashes.

75 Ayes 0 Noes [Final updated vote tally]

Measure now goes to CA Senate.

This should send a strong message to the terrorist Iranian Regime that it can no longer count on oil/gas investments by fund managers and businesses who are acting counter to the strategic interests of the United States and betting this fascist regime will survive. Without these foreign investments propping up the Regime's oil/gas sector, the Regime's house of cards will collapse. The Iranian economy is tanking because of its diverting oil/gas revenues into funding its messianic nuclear program while at the same time directly involved in killing our troops on the ground by funding worldwide Islamofascist terrorist organizations whether they be Shi'ia or Sunni, AQ, Hamas, and Hezbollah et al.


Perhaps the world is awakening to the fact world events are very similar to those of 1938, a time in which Evil was rising in the world. Perhaps this time we can take action to prevent WWIII.

We all have colleagues, friends, and relatives who are proudly serving in uniform in the Global War on Terror. Regardless of your opinions on the war, our brother and sister officers are serving in harm's way.

The greatest strategic threat to the national interests of the United States is the terrorist regime of Iran. This Regime is led by a fanatical messianic apocalyptical Shi'ia sect of Islamofascism. This Regime is directly involved in killing our troops on the ground and is actively training, supporting, and funding Islamofascist terrorist groups of both Shi'ia and Sunni origin worldwide e.g., al-Qaeda, Hamas, and Hezbollah.

Cal-PERS and Cal-STRS are invested in foreign companies that are continuing to do business with this Regime. The Iranian economy is in very poor condition. The Regime is funding with its oil revenues its nuclear weapons program and these proxy terrorist groups. The Regime has deferred investment and repair in its oil/gas infrastructure. Iran is currently importing a majority of its refined gasoline stocks. Oil/gas sector companies doing business with this Regime are in essence subsidizing and allowing the Regime to continue its terrorist activities.

Joint action by the investment committees of Cal-PERS and Cal-STRS can be a powerful strategic weapon that can topple this totalitarian regime before it achieves nuclear capability. If done intelligently there will be little or no pension fund losses. Such action will cause cascading action by other US pension funds. These funds will follow California's lead as no pension fund wants to be left holding a portfolio of devalued investments. There will be plenty of opportunities for new investments once this totalitarian fascist regimes falls.

Assemblyman Lieu nailed it when he said these globalists fund advisers are betting against the strategic interests of the United States that the Iranian Regime will survive. Assemblyman Lieu called profits from these investments blood money.
